Dec. 29 The junior varsity Wellington Skyrocket basketball team competes in the Groom Tournament in Groom. Times and opponents are to be announced. The varsity Wellington Skyrocket and Lady Rocket basketball teams compete in the Brownwood Tournament in Brownwood.

RICHARDSON — Lubbock Christian University (LCU) Lady Chaparral Grace Foster, a 2021 Childress High School graduate, was recently named the Lone Star Conference (LSC) Offensive Player of the Week, announced Monday,Dec.18.

CHILDRESS — Having previously received three collegiate football offers, senior Bobcat Ethan Ferguson recently added three additional offers to the lineup,including ones from Culver-Stockton College, Hardin-Simmons University and Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
