Wellington teams take wins at Memphis

MEMPHIS – The Wellington Skyrockets and Lady Rockets picked up district wins in Memphis Thursday, Jan. 27. The Lady Rockets capped the Lady Cyclones with a final score of 8318, thanks to high-point scorer Asia Shrubs, who put up 15 points for Wellingotn.

Skyrocket Coach Jeff Anderson earns regional recognition

WELLINGTON – Wellington Defensive Coordinator Jeff Anderson was recently named Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Class 2A Region 1 Assistant Coach of the Year.

CLARENDON — The Wellington Lady Skyrockets quickly got off the launching pad Friday night, Jan. 20, closing the first half of District 2-2A as the team to beat. Visiting No. 16 Clarendon in a matchup between a pair of unbeaten teams, Wellington didn’t waste any time.
