Lady Cats named to all-district volleyball teams

CHILDRESS — Eight Childress Lady Cats, including freshman Kinley Galligan, who was named Newcomer of the Year, and senior Journey Prince, District Outstanding Hitter, were recently named to 2025 District 1-3A All-District volleyball teams.

WHEELER — In a fight for the District 5-2A Division II Championship, the Wellington Skyrockets came up short in a 12-0 blank, losing the top seed to the Wheeler Mustangs, who earned their first win over Wellington since 2006, pitching their fifth shoutout on the year.

WELLINGTON — Remaining undefeated in district play,the Wellington Skyrockets are headed to the district championship matchup, following a 67-7 win over Shamrock Friday, Oct. 24 at Powell Field.
