Three Wellington High School Class of 2025 graduates represented the Skyrockets one last time in the 20th Annual ASCO All-Star Classic Saturday, May 31 on Lowrey Field at Capital Plains Park in Lubbock.

WELLINGTON – Finishing the 2025 season as area finalists, the Wellington Skyrockets landed nine players on District 2-2A All-District baseball teams, including senior TJ Salinas, selected as Most Valuable Player, and freshman Alex Orozco, selected as Pitcher of the Year.

Childress summer camps welcome over 90 student-athletes

Lady Cat Volleyball Camp welcomes student-athletes, ranging from third-sixth grade, for a three-day summer camp Monday, June 2-Wednesday June 4. Overall, 90 stu dent-athletes have turned out for summer volleyball, basketball, track and weightlift ing, coaches said.
