CHILDRESS — In a bi-district championship win, Ansley Parr rang up 13 strikeouts, allowing two hits and four runs over seven innings while walking nine, as the Childress Lady Cats defeated the Slaton Tigerettes in a 5-4 final Friday, April 25.

VERNON – Wellington netters competed in the District 2-2A Tennis Tournament on Monday, April 7, advancing three championship teams and one runner-up team to the regional competition. District play concluded Tuesday, April 8 with final matches played in Wheeler.

MEMPHIS — The Memphis Lady Cyclones were downed in an 11-1 final, as the West Texas Lady Comanches scored nine runs in the first inning Thursday, April 24.Pitching, Chloie O’Neal gave up seven hits and 11 runs over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking eight.

CHILDRESS — In a season-ending loss, the Childress Bobcats fell to the Dalhart Wolves in a 10-1 final Monday, April28.Childress opened scoring in the third, after Drake Rabe drew a walk, scoring one run. However, the Wolves took the lead,3-1, in the top of the fourth with two singles.
