Lubbock Christian University Chaparral Grace Foster, a 2021 graduate of Childress High School, is making history on the basketball court. Surpassing Carol Hise, who amassed 732 rebounds from 1990-1994, Foster joins LCU women’s basketball’s top five rebounders, standing at 742 career rebounds behind Darla Lynch (1979-1983) with 838, Tess Bruffey (2014-2018) with 845, Mamy N’Kolomoni (1998-2002) with 911 and Nicole Hampton (2011-2016) with 1,053. The Wellington Skyrockets rank No. 99 in Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s 2025 Texas High School Football Program Rankings, down 38 spots from their 2024 ranking of No. 61, released Monday, Jan. 13. Childress also dropped from 2024’s ranking, moving down 82 places into No. 290, while Memphis dropped four spots into No. 1,152 in the lineup of 1,214 Texas teams.
