Wellington Senior Citizens host Open House event

WELLINGTON – The cool temperatures and much needed rain didn’t keep folks home Thursday morning, March 16. From 9-10 a.m., the Wellington Senior Citizen Center (WSCC) hosted an Open House, located inside the renovated Bura Handley Community Building.

Wellington Christmas blood drive hits target

WELLINGTON – Blood donors traveled to the 12 Days of Christmas Wellington Community Blood Drive from 2:30-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6439, just east of Wellington.

Wellington ISD Board extends Ashmore’s contract through June 2026

WELLINGTON – The Wellington Independent School District (ISD) Board of Education met in regular session at 12:05 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9 in the superintendent’s office. President Cody Phillips called the meeting to order with all members present. Brad Bawcom offered the opening prayer.
