CHILDRESS — Wheat’s Artisan Bakery is reopening under new ownership — Myles and Dana Barfield, who have fired up the brick oven along with their daughters, Hailee and Destiny. “We are honored to continue the Wheat’s legacy our community has loved for so many years,” Dana said.

CHILDRESS — Roughly 115 fifth-grade students from Childress Independent School District (ISD), Paducah ISD, Guthrie ISD and Wellington ISD, as well as area homeschoolers, attended Childress County Ag Day Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Mashburn Event Center and Arena.
