My momma made the best fried chicken. My daddy would bring home a whole chicken from the SuperSave grocery store on Noel, across from the Baptist Church. Momma would cut up the chicken by hand and pull out the giblets that were stuffed inside.She cooked them first because they were small.

F.O. Masten: Master farmer and benefactor

The agricultural leader of Collingsworth County, including the High Plains and South Plains for decades, was Francis Oral Masten. He was born in June 1890, the oldest of 11 children of William Cornelius Masten Jr. and Mary Fields at Illinois Bend, Montague County,Texas.
