WINDBREAK TREES The Hall-Childress Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is taking orders for field and farmstead windbreak trees. The types of trees available are containerized and bareroot hardwoods; both are one-year-old seedlings.

CHAMBER BANQUET Join the Memphis Chamber of Commerce for its 103rd Annual Banquet at 6 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, Friday, March 17 at the Memphis Community Center. Guests will enjoy awards, bingo, food and fun, as well as a drawing for a 65-inch television. All are welcome to attend.

FOOD BOXES Available the second Monday of each month, March 13 is the next distribution of food boxes from the north drivethrough of the First Methodist Church, 901 Bowie St., from 2-4 p.m. Basic application can be completed from 9 a.m.-noon Monday through Thursday in the church office.
