“DOUBLEWIDE TEXAS CHRISTMAS” Memphis LittleTheatre will present “DoublewideTexas Christmas” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1 at the Memphis Community Center.

CHILDRESS — Chosen to be on a reality television show brings elation… momentarily. Then, the panic begins, Childress County Attorney Greg Buckley, who was featured on “American Pickers,” said. “I’ve got to get everything cleaned,” Buckley thought. “What about my Texan-ese speech? How do I dress?
Proud parents, Cole and Amber Cummings, of Panhandle, and three-year-old big brother, Braxton Cole, welcomed Camden Luke Cummings on Feb. 28, 2023. He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 21.5 inches long. Grandparents include Tim and Toni Cummings, of Wellington; Bruce and Cynthia Curtis, of Panhandle; and Doug King, of Amarillo. SHAMROCK – Twelve-year-old Hazel Estrada, of Wellington, earned third place in the Preteen Division of the recent Lad n’ Lassie Pageant on Sunday, March 19 at the Shamrock High School Auditorium.

CHILDRESS — Modern Home Club held its regular monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 16 at the Childress County Heritage Museum. Soundra Christy called the meeting to order, followed by reading of the minutes by Raenell Smith, which were approved without change.
