Ronald “Ronnie” Odell Valentine, 79, passed away on Nov. 30, 2022. Visitation were held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Sundown Cemetery.
He was born to Ollie Odell and Mamie Nell Valentine on Nov. 11, 1943. Ronnie attended school in Ropesville, Texas.; later on, he earned his G.E.D.
In 1961, Ronnie married his high school sweetheart, Beverly, who passed away in 2001. Together, they had three children, Gene, Don and Terri Kaye, who passed away in 2018.
He married Peggy in 2002; he treated her sons, daughters-in-law, grandkids and great-grandkids as his own. Peggy passed away in 2014.
Ronnie was also preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Mamie Nell, and his brother, Gary.
He is survived by sons Gene (Lori) and Don (Angie) and siblings Charlotte (the late Bill), John (Brenda) and Joe (Ramah). In addition, he leaves eight grandchildren, Lyle, Devin, Tori, Rikki, Garrett, McKinzie, Quenton and Savannah.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable donations to Samaritan’s Purse.
