CHILDRESS — Totaling 1,025 pounds, Junior Hicks punched his ticket to the Texas High School Powerlifting Association State Championship, following a second-place finish at the Region 1 Division 3 powerlifting meet Saturday, March 11 at Sundown High School.
Competing in weight class 132, Hicks squatted 370 pounds, benched 275 pounds and deadlifted 380 pounds.
