WELLINGTON – Wellington’s Callen Kane threw for two touchdowns, including a twopoint conversion pass on the game’s final scoring play, as the Skyrockets held off the Vernon Lions 14-7 Friday, Sept. 4 at Powell Field.
Wellington struck first, scoring on a 54-yard touchdown pass from Kane to Jax Heflin in the first quarter. The two-point conversion attempt failed, leaving the Skyrockets 6-0.
