Bryan Shuler, age 33, of Altus, Okla., passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2022, at his home in Altus.

Bryan was born on April 19, 1989, in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Barry Shuler and Rosario (Granados) Posada. He was raised by his father, Emmett Johnson, and mother in Wellington, Texas, where he graduated high school. Throughout the years, he lived in Wellington, Eldorado, Okla. and Altus. He worked as a carpenter for Medina and Sons and Realmbuild, Inc. and Lynn Simmons Construction, as well as for Steve Weems Lawn Care in Altus. Bryan also went on to work as a Tower Installation Leadman with Blattner Energy, building wind turbines in Iowa and Texas. Bryan loved to work, and he enjoyed fishing, camping, taking care of his family, prospecting, video gaming and cooking out and grilling around the firepit. He also really loved listening to music. Bryan loved his family and spending time with them and taking care of them, and he will be missed very much.

Bryan is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Chris Medina, and mother- in-law, Shana Medina; his uncle, Carlos Granados; his niece, Baby Medina; and his best friend, who he considered his brother, Cody Black.

Bryan is survived by his longtime partner for over eleven years, Tellie Darden, of their home in Altus; two sons, Daniel Butler and Troy Butler, both of Altus; two daughters, Telsie Butler and Terrisa Patterson, both of Altus; his father, Emmett Johnson; his mother, Rosario Posada; grandparents Frank and Maria Granados; three brothers, Valentine Granados, of Dallas, Texas, Kenny Granados, of Eldorado, and Quinnlin Johnson, of Fort Worth; two brothersin- law, Justin Medina and wife Tristen, of Eldorado, and Shane Medina and girlfriend Kaelin Robertson, of Altus; three sisters, Kimberly Holland and husband Dusty, of Wellington, Cassandra Shuler, of Wellington, and Leeann Shuler and husband Cody Medina, of Eldorado; sister-in-law Tanya Cardenas, of Gould, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews Tryston, Mallory and Tyler O’Rear, Brianna and Abby Torrez, Ashlyn, Mariah, Kylie and Christopher Medina, Branson and Remiel Granados, Cayden Coronado and Emalynn Medina, Kamryn Medina, Kiara and Rueben Cardenas, Marcus Huerta, and Valeriana and Leena Galvan; and great niece Shana Galvan; as well as numerous other family members and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at the Corinth Baptist Church, south of Gould. Interment followed at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus.
