Bobcats steal lead over Slaton for District Championship

    CHILDRESS — Finishing district play, the Childress Bobcats split the District 2-3A Championship Tuesday, Feb. 14, taking the No. 2 seed in a 84-33 win over the Slaton Tigers.

    Seniors Lamont Nickleberry and Aiden Allen led the Bobcats, scoring a game-high 22 points apiece.

    The Childress Bobcats (22-7, 9-1) will compete in a Class 3A Bi-District Championship at a time and date to be announced.
