Bobcats take No. 2 seed in District 3-3A DII

    FRIONA — The Childress Bobcats took the No. 2 seed in District 3-3A Division II Friday night, Nov. 3, handling the Friona Chieftains in a 43-18 victory at Chieftain Stadium.

    Sitting behind No. 1-seed Canadian, the Bobcats depended on senior running back Da’Reon Mathis, who toted the ball 20 times for 138 yards with a pair of scores, as well as quarterback Drake Rabe, who delivered 231 passing yards on 15-of-28 completions with a touchdown. Isaiah Jalomo also made four catches for 142 yards and a 77-yard touchdown snag for the Bobcats.
