Memphis’ Martinez qualifies for state powerlifting meet

SHAMROCK — Memphis Lady Cyclone Emili Martinez is state bound, qualifying for the Division 3 State Powerlifting Championship after an 830-pound lift Friday, March 3 at the Region 1 Division 3 1A-2A meet in Shamrock.
Securing a second-place finish in weight class 198, Martinez squatted 325 pounds, benched 05 pounds and deadlifted 300 pounds, lifting 50 pounds above her third-place opponent.
