Wellington hammers Sudan, set for regional semifinal showdown

AMARILLO – The Wellington Skyrockets snagged a lopsided 48-0 win over the Sudan Hornets in a Class 2A Division II Area Championship Friday night, Nov. 18 at Dick Bivins Stadium in Amarillo.
Racking up 435 yards of offense, the Rockets limited the Hornets to only 165 yards, while Travon Lewis paced the busy Wellington backfield, stacking up 102 yards and a score on seven carries.
