Nov. 3 The varsity Wellington Skyrocket football team plays the Clarendon Broncos at 7 p.m. in Wellington. Nov. 7 The junior varsity and varsity Wellington Lady Rocket basketball teams play the Spearman Lady Lynx in Spearman. Junior varsity plays at 5 p.m., followed by varsity at 6:30 p.m. Nov.

LUBBOCK — Competing in the UIL 2A Region 1 Cross Country Championship, Memphis’ Ryder Robison and Wellington’s Addy Mock qualified for the upcoming cross country state championships after securing individual placements within the top 20 Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.

SPEARMAN — The Childress Bobcats picked up their second consecutive district win against the Spearman Lynx Friday, Oct. 20, thanks to Scout Smith, who, with a tied score and less than a minute on the clock, ran the ball in from a yard out to secure the Bobcats’ 28-21 victory.
