Sept. 16 The varsity Memphis Cyclone football team plays the Booker Kiowas at 7 p.m. in Booker. Sept. 19 The junior high Memphis Lady Whirlwinds play the Highland Park Lady Hornets in Amarillo. Seventh-grade A and eighth-grade B teams play at 5 p.m.

Bobcats left devastated in homecoming loss against Breckenridge

CHILDRESS — In only the second game of the 2022 season, the Childress Bobcats were left devastated in a 35-8 homecoming loss against the Breckenridge Buckaroos Friday night, Sept. 2.
Following a 10th-place finish at the recent Jeep Webb Memorial Run, Memphis’ Ryder Robison medals at the Valley Invitational Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Caprock Canyon, finishing first in the varsity division, followed by Kyler Robison, who finished fifth in the junior high division, and Nathan Perkins, who finished eighth in the junior high division.
