Threats of severe weather Thursday, May 18 moved the Enchanted Garden 2023 Wellington High School Junior/Senior Prom from the outdoor venue Foxtales to the renovated Bura Handley Community Center. Party goers began arriving at 5:30 p.m.

The Memphis Chamber of Commerce Community Wide Garage Sale is scheduled for 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 20. So far, 16 address have registered for the sale, according to Memphis Chamber of Commerce Manager Kim Cloyd. Maps will be handed out beginning at 7:30 a.m.

CHILDRESS — Tuesday, May 9, a Piper Cherokee flew in for a visit, and a Cessna 150 stopped for fuel. A Cessna 182 fueled up on its way from Missouri to New Mexico, and a Cessna Station Air stopped in for fuel on its way to Abilene for the night.
