Memphis Lions send thanks for successful 67th Annual Park Opener

MEMPHIS — The Memphis Lions Club hosted its 67th Annual Park Opener Friday, May 12 at Memphis City Park. Serving just over 200 hamburgers, the Lions welcomed the Memphis Cyclone Band for entertainment.

CHILDRESS — Modern Home Club met for the May Luncheon at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18 at Wheat’s Artisan Bakery. The meeting was called to order by Soundra Christy. Reading of the minutes by Raenell Smith were approved without change. Christy reported on those unable to attend.

Childress County Christmas Sharing (CCCS), located at 232 Main St., recently rceived a new sign. “Thank you to Kim Buckley for the design and Ben Cherry for putting it in place for us,” CCCS board member and volunteer Raenell Smith said.
