Childress’ Pratt advances to BPA national contest

CHILDRESS — Childress High School (CHS) junior Darren Pratt advanced to the 57th Annual Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference, which will be hosted Wednesday, April 26-Sunday, April 30 in Anaheim, Calif.

Memphis Chamber Banquet tonight

The 103rd Memphis Chamber of Commerce St. Patrick’s Day Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. tonight, Friday, March 17, at the Memphis Community Center. Guests will enjoy the annual award ceremony, followed by bingo, food and a drawing for a 65-inch television.

Rocket Regiment earns ‘excellent’ratings at contest

The Rocket Regiment gathers following the UIL Spring Concert and Sight-Reading Contest Tuesday, March 7 in Panhandle. The Wellington band earned “excellent” ratings for each performance.

Lady Rocket artists make Amarillo debut

AMARILLO – Wellington High School art instructor Marnie Kane’s students competed in the Area Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) competition on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Arts in the Sunset Complex in Amarillo.
