Sons of Confederate Veterans Charles Goodnight, Frontier Reg. Camp 2280, hosts the October 2021 Living History Weekend at Powell Park near Highway 83 in Wellington. The life-like displays come alive again for the 2022 event Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7 and 8. The Red River Sun/Bev Odom
WELLINGTON – “We are trying to keep history alive, from 15th century Medieval times to a Charles Goodnight cowboy, a blacksmith, doctor and nurse and a circuit rider preacher, we invite all area residents to take part in our historical reenactment,” said Order of Confederate Rose Ladies Auxilary member Rhonda Colson, who will have a presence in the living history exhibit as well.
