Childress Army Airfield receives Texas Historical Marker

CHILDRESS — The Childress County Heritage Museum hosted an unveiling of a Texas Historical Commission Marker at the Childress Army Airfield (CAAF), a former bombardier and navigator training command, Friday, Jan. 17.

CHILDRESS — Tuesday, Jan.14,a Cessna Citation flew in from Colorado to pick up passengers.Wednesday, Jan. 15, a Eurocopter dropped in for fuel on its way from Amarillo to Dallas, and a Cessna 182 stopped for fuel. A Blackhawk helicopter and a Piper Cherokee also came in for fuel.Thursday, Jan.
