As a little kid, I was enamored with heights. My grandparents had one of the few two-story houses in Wellington. There were seats beneath the upper windowsills that doubled as storage cabinets, mostly for out-of-season clothes and blankets. I enjoyed sitting there and just looking at what I thought were faraway places.
