Sina “Violet” Waller, 76, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, in Amarillo.
Funeral services took place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, in Robertson Funeral Directors Heritage Chapel in Memphis, Texas with Corky Holland officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Viewing was held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Arrangements were by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Violet was born on Oct. 10, 1946, in Morton, Texas to George and Kathleen Stone Pierce. She grew up on a farm in the Lakeview/ Memphis area and attended Lakeview schools.
After graduating, Violet obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate and worked in the Hall County Hospital for approximately 20 years. After she moved to Amarillo in 1990, she continued her career in healthcare, working for Vibra Hospital for another 30 years.
Violet married Winfred “Charles” Waller in Hall County on Nov. 16. They had two children together. Her greatest enjoyment in life was taking care of her five grandsons. She loved seeing them every weekend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; her son, Matt Waller; and two sisters, Louis Crone and Nellie Lambert.
Violet is survived by her daughter, Shelly Beam and husband Brent, of Amarillo; brother Clenten Pierce and wife Diane; two sisters,
Naomi Bailey and Liz Denhem; five grandsons, Gregory Waller, Kiefer Waller, Cameron Waller and his wife, Jaden, Conner Beam and Brittain Beam and his wife, Tiffany; three great-grandchildren, Mady, Caden and Alexis Beam; and many nieces and nephews.
