The Honorable James Kenneth Walker began his life on Jan.10,1936,in Decator, Texas, where he learned to love the game of golf. After graduating high school in Memphis, Texas, he attended Baylor University and was a member of the Baylor golf team, where he participated in the Southwest Conference.

Jimmie Black, 73, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was born on Dec. 21, 1949, in Wellington, to Billy Doyle and Margie Marie Gibson Black. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1966. Shortly after graduation, he married Vicki Wade on Aug. 19 in Wellington.
