LUBBOCK — For the first time in four tries, the Wellington Skyrockets defeated the state-ranked Lubbock Christian Eagles, maintaining their undefeated status with a 44-22 on-the-road win last Friday, Sept. 19 at Masked Rider Field.
In the previous three tries—2022 (28-24), 2023 (17-16) and 2024 (36-34)—Wellington was unable to claim victory, despite battling to the end of the contest.
