Wellington High School educator Karoline Ashmore’s sixth-period seniors read “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, last week. This epic poem examines the burden of an albatross that the main character carries around his neck. These students drew a visual representation of a burden that each of them carries at this time in their lives. Then, they explained their burden in a paragraph and hung it around their necks. Not pictured is Jordan Nation. Phillips carried his burden for him for the photo.
