Tennis coach Amy Inman congratulates senior Summer Owens as the 2A Region 1 Tennis Tournament concludes Tuesday, April 11 in Amarillo. Owens finished as the third-place medalist in girls’ singles, completing a successful tennis season after a state appearance her junior year. Junior Madeleine Kane took fourth place in girls’ singles. In day one of play, on Monday, April 10, the mixed doubles team of Oakley Folk and Barret Philips won their first-round match before falling to the No. 1 seed in the second round. The girls’ doubles team of Presley Kane and Brynn Phillips fell in the first round to the No. 1 seed. The boys’ doubles team of Nixon Folk and Carson Tarver won their first-round match before falling in the second round in a tight match.
