CANYON — Competing at the UIL 2A Region I Track and Field Championships, Wellington’s Major Brown and Jax Cantu put up state-qualifying jumps Friday, May 1-Saturday, May 2 at West Texas A&M University’s Track and Field Complex.
In triple jump, Brown took first place with a jump of 44-03, while Cantu finished second with a jump of 12-06.65 in long jump.
