WAV operates 2023 season with new hours

Wellington Aquatic Venue (WAV) staff and lifeguards began the 2023 season under the direction of Manager Joe Ponder with new hours of operation: 2-7 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday; 1-6 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday; closed Monday.
A Back to School Bash Tournament, benefitting Childress Little League, will be held Saturday, Aug. 12 at Risenhoover Field. The one-day tournament will be 8-andunder coach pitch only and double elimination. Entry is $100 and must be paid in full by Wednesday, Aug. 9. COLLEGE STATION — The Childress Bobcats made their third consecutive – and ninth overall – appearance at the 25th Annual 7-on-7 State Football Tournament, which began Thursday, July 22 at Veterans Memorial Park in College Station.
