Skyrockets bested by Clarendon

WELLINGTON — The Wellington Skyrockets were bested in a 10-1 final against Clarendon, which boasted an early lead, Tuesday, March 28. On the mound, Barret Phillips surrendered seven runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.

Foster named to 2022-2023 Non-D1 All-Texas Women’s Basketball Team

LUBBOCK — Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparral Grace Foster, a 2021 Childress High School graduate, was recently selected to the 2022-2023 Non-D1 All-Texas Women’s Basketball Team, as well as named All-Texas Most Valuable Player.

Senior Lady Cats earn All-State, Academic All-State selections

CHILDRESS — Five Childress Lady Cats, including Cameran Daniel, Adah Henderson, Aspen Lomax, Kate Taylor and Chloe Teichelman, were selected to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and Texas Girls Coaching Association (TGCA) All-State and Academic All-State Teams.

Area players named to 2023 AGN Girls Basketball Super Team

Childress senior Cameran Daniel,as well as Memphis junior Macaela Graham and Wellington juniors Audrey Jones and Presley Kane,were recently named to the 2023 Amarillo Globe-News Girls Basketball SuperTeam, announced Sunday, April 2.All four players were selected as Honorable Mentions.
