Through the Lens of LizKids Crockin’, sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Childress County, in conjunction with Childress County 4-H and the Childress Women’s League, wraps up another successful three-session program Monday, Sept. 22 at the Childress Elementary School Cafeteria.

WELLINGTON — The once undefeated Wellington Skyrockets fell in their first non-district loss of the season, blanked by the Panhandle Panthers in a 41-0 shutout Friday, Sept. 26 at Powell Field in Wellington.
Under the leadership of Lady Rocket cross country coach Travis Nicks, Taytum Kane earns the fourth-place medal at the Lubbock Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27. Following, the Lady Rocket cross country team competed at the Wheeler Invitational on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Results were unavailable at press time. LUBBOCK — For the first time in four tries, the Wellington Skyrockets defeated the state-ranked Lubbock Christian Eagles, maintaining their undefeated status with a 44-22 on-the-road win last Friday, Sept. 19 at Masked Rider Field.
