Wellington teens serve as Water Ambassadors

SAN MARCOS – Amongst 119 water ambassadors representing 67 Texas counties, Wellington High School (WHS) sophomore Ava Peters and freshman Barrett Wiebe attended the 10th Annual Tier 1 Texas 4-H Water Ambassador Academy, representing Mesquite Groundwater Conservation District (MGCD).

WELLINGTON – Meeting at noon Monday, April 13 with Mayor Larry Adams presiding, the Wellington City Council convened for a special meeting with City Manager Justin Mixon, Councilmen Brent Martin, Jimmy Cantu Jr.
On April 26, the Wellington Church of the Nazarene congregation observes Blue Sunday. With April being Child Abuse Prevention Month, members took time to pray for abused children on this special occasion. “Pray they are placed with caring people, that their minds and bodies can heal, that they find hope and for those who rescue them,” Pastor Leah Fort said.
