WELLINGTON — The bottom of the lineup helped Wellington capture a 7-4 victory over Calrendon Friday, April 3, as Leo Granadoz, Colton Jernigan and Trevyn Wiebe combined for four of the team’s eight hits,scoring two runs and driving in three.

WELLINGTON – Freshman Lady Rocket Gannon Guy received the District 2-2A All-District Newcomer of the Year distinction for her efforts in Wellington’s 28-8 season and Regional Semi-Final Championship.

SHAMROCK — The Wellington Skyrockets downed Shamrock in a 21-3 season opening win Tuesday,March 10 in Shamrock.Leading the Skyrockets, Alex Orozco collected five hits in five at bats, singling in the first, second and fourth innings.
Major Brown is the son of Daryon Brown and the late Shannon Brown. Major has played varsity basketball for the Rockets for two years. After high school, Major plans to attend West Texas A&M University as a collegiate track and field athlete majoring in sports and exercise sciences. HZW Media
