WELLINGTON — The once undefeated Wellington Skyrockets fell in their first non-district loss of the season, blanked by the Panhandle Panthers in a 41-0 shutout Friday, Sept. 26 at Powell Field in Wellington.
Wellington’s Kamron Brooks (8) amasses 105 receiving yards and two touchdowns during the Skyrockets’ 44-22 on-the-road victory over Lubbock Christian last Friday night, Sept. 19 at Masked Rider Capital Field. Senior Gustavo Soto (22) fends off the Eagles, while junior quarterback Callen Kane (12) completed 16-of-24 passes for 177 yards and four touchdowns.

Wellington defeats state-ranked Lubbock Christian

LUBBOCK — For the first time in four tries, the Wellington Skyrockets defeated the state-ranked Lubbock Christian Eagles, maintaining their undefeated status with a 44-22 on-the-road win last Friday, Sept. 19 at Masked Rider Field.
