The Memphis Lions Club will host the 37th Annual Golf Tournament Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Memphis Country Club. The two-person, 18-hole scramble will tee off at 1 p.m. Entry is $50 per team. Prizes will be awarded to the top places in each flight. A meal will follow the scramble.

The Wellington High School Class of 2024 opens its final year of high school with a pool party at Wellington Country Club Sunday, Aug. 20. The classmates celebrated with a special cake and missed those who couldn’t attend.

“On a goal of 16, we had a total of 15 donors processed, giving us 100% of our goal,” said Coffee Memorial Blood Center Administrative Coordinator Cassandra Neal. “We had a total of 19 screened, but only 15 were able to donate.

Mason and Roxanne Smith, of Dodson, along with older siblings Catalina and Beckham, are thrilled to announce the birth of their son and brother, Knox Storm Smith, born at 6:20 a.m. Aug. 4, 2023, in Childress. He arrived weighing 9 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 21.5 inches long.
