Bruce was born on Sept. 25, 1927, in Childress. He was raised with two brothers, Clee and Terry, and two sisters, Anna Beth and Donna Kaye, on a farm.

Bruce met the love of his life, Nadine Henley, in grade school. She was his forever sweetheart. Bruce attended Childress High School for three years. He became the foreman of the Buckle L Ranch. Deanie cooked for the cowboys.

Bruce and Nadine then decided to leave the Buckle L. They started their lives farming and ranching. Bruce spent most of his life farming cotton and raising cattle.

Bruce and Nadine raised three children. Brett, Paula Beth and Mark were brought up in the Methodist Church, where Bruce and Nadine spent many years as Methodist Youth Fellowship leaders.

Bruce lived and long and blessed life. He could fix or invent anything with JIMMIE ‘BRUCE’ PARR
