Eric Nelson Lynch, age 50, of Memphis, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Family directed memorial services took place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at First Methodist Church of Memphis with Rev. Stan Cosby officiating. Cremation and arrangements were by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Eric was born February 13, 1976, in Hereford, Texas. He was raised in Hall County in the communities of Memphis and Plaska, Texas. He went to school in Memphis where he graduated in 1994. He went on to get his bachelor’s degree in science at West Texas State University. Eric pursued a nursing career in the oncology department for 12 years. After nursing, he went to work for the Citу of Memphis as a Water Superintendent for 10 years where he made many memories with his friends and coworkers.
Eric was a wonderful son, husband, and father. He loved learning to make new culinary cuisines for his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wendell and Reva Cleveland, and his aunt, Gayle Heh.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lynch; children, Brennan Lynch and wife Morgan; grandchildren, Willow and Grey Lynch; daughters, Daisy Mae Villanueva, Jasmine Leigh Villanueva, and Ambriana Lynch; his parents, Sandy and Sherri Smith; his sisters Kerra Lynch, Jana Malatino and husband Tom, and Lisa Haigh; and cousin, John Heh.
