Betty Stanley, 84, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023.
Graveside services took place at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at North Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Noah Downing, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1938, in Sayre, Okla., to Ben Lee and Georgia Ann Brown Ellifritz. She married W.D. “Dub” Stanley on May 14, 1960, in Wellington. He preceded her in death in 2021.
Betty worked at a factory in Childress, Texas for several years and farmed with her husband.
She served as a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Betty was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Billy Stanley, in 2014; a grandson, Maycin Stanley, in 2018; three brothers; and four sisters.
Her survivors include her son, Michael Stanley, and his wife, Helena, of Wellington; three grandchildren, Cody Stanley and Ryeleigh Stanley, both of Wellington, and Cristina Stanley, of Maryland; two great-grandchildren, Armani and Amiyah Stanley, of Wellington; eight nieces; and five nephews.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Wellington Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 321, Wellington, TX 79095.
