John ‘Johnny’ Marc Johnson

Memorial services for John “Johnny” Marc Johnson, 62, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at First Baptist Church.

He passed away Oct. 23, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas.

He was born June 16, 1961, in Dumas, Texas to Max Ray Johnson and Cleta Anne Loman Johnson.

He loved fishing off the coast of Galveston, Texas, and he always had the best lawn in the state of Texas.He loved nature and his cats. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was an executive for Boy Scouts of America for 17 years in Louisiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Arkansas.

Survivors include his parents, Max and Cleta Johnson; a brother, Jerrald Johnson, and wife Cindy, of Childress, Texas; a brother, James Johnson, and wife Marial, of Dumas; a brother, Jerad Johnson, and wife Christina, of Irving, Texas; a sister, Brittanni Johnson, of Lubbock, Texas; special friend and caretaker, LaRue Moran, of Childress; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
