Marsha K. Forde, age 79, passed away on Jan. 6, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Childress, Texas with Lakan Mariano officiating.
Family visitation was held before the service from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
Marsha was born on Oct. 7, 1944, to Donald Mark Burritt and Erma Madge (Weaver) Burritt in Clarinda, Iowa.
Marsha graduated from Kirtland, N.M. with the Class of 1963. Shortly after, she met and married the love of her life, Eddie, in Shiprock, N.M. on Aug. 14, 1965. Marsha loved to watch her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids play sports and dance. She loved fishing and camping in Fun Valley, Colo. She collected gingerbread man items and used this as a term of endearment for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Randall Burritt; brother Richard Burritt; brother Donald Burritt; sister Linda Payne; and sister D’Ann Freeman.
Marsh is survived by her husband, James “Eddie” E. Forde,of Childress;son Mark Edward Forde, of Childress; daughter Lisa Campbell and husband C.C., of Childress; grandson Chance Campbell and wife Sarah, of Canyon, Texas; granddaughter Chelsea Hampton and husband Carnell, of Childress; great-grandchildren Elyza Hood, Kenyan Campbell, Evelyn Campbell, Legacee Hampton, Espyn Forde Campbell, Liberty Hampton and Luxury Hampton; sister-in-law Doreen Bruce, of Pampa, Texas; sister-inlaw Laura Burritt; brotherin- law Willie Kirby; and nu-Ralph merous nieces and nephews.
