Jo Ann Kershner, 81, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2024.
Memorial service in her memory took place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Noah Downing, pastor, officiating.
She was born on May 12, 1943, in the Quail Community of Collingsworth County,Texas, to J. F.“Buck” and Gertrude Beecher Ogletree. She attended school in Quail, Texas.
Jo Ann married Dennis Kershner in May of 1987 in Dallas, Texas. They came to Wellington in 2011 from Dallas.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Dennis; a son, Allen Rasor and wife Kristen, of Dallas; two stepdaughters, Denel Strong and Denise Webb and husband Chris, both of San Antonio, Texas; a granddaughter, Brooke McGee and Taylor, of Dallas; two step grandsons, Derick Strong, of San Antonio, and Darren Strong, of New York; her great-granddaughter, Lila Ryan McGee; and three step-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.
Cremation arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
