Edward Lee “Eddy” Garza, 52, of Memphis, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Rosary took place at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, in Robertson Funeral Directors Heritage Chapel in Memphis. Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, in the First Baptist Church in Memphis. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Arrangements were by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Eddy was born July 2,1970, in Memphis to Eulalia Lalo and Sylvia Garza. He had been a resident of Memphis most of his life.
His hobbies included playing pool, horseshoes and cornhole. Eddy enjoyed cooking out and hanging out with family and friends. He always helped anyone who ever needed it. He will be deeply missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Antonio Garza Sr., Anita Garza,Andres Garza and Dolores Garza; and the mother of his children, Sheela Campbell. Survivors include his mother, Sylvia Garza, of Memphis; his wife, Chastity Garza, of Memphis; his sons, Sean Campbell and wife Jenifer, of Arkansas, Cameron Mestas and wife Cristal, Toby Mestas and wife Stephanie, Blake Mestas and Eddie Garza, all of Memphis, and Sebastian Garza, of Arkansas; his daughters, Crystal Garza and Tabitha Garza, both of Arkansas, and Tia Garza, of Memphis; his brothers, Eric Garza and wife Ruby, of California, and Ray Garza and wife Ramona, of Memphis; three grandchildren, Cooper Campbell, Amelia Garza and Caia Garza, all of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
