Ella “Cousin” Rayford, 82, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Graveside services took place at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, in North Fairview Cemetery with Neil Stidolph, minister of the Bowie Street Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home, of Wellington.
She was born Nov. 14, 1940, in Wellington, to Charlie and Hattie Bishop Hunnicutt.
Ella was a resident of Amarillo for many years where she worked for Texas Health and Human Services. After retirement, she moved to Wellington to be near her family.
She served as a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
Ella was preceded by her grandparents; parents; her son, Charles Rayford Jr.; a brother; and a sister.
“Cousin” Ella, as she preferred to be called by her family, is survived by two aunts, Bobbie Shrubs and Ruby Nash, both of Wellington; four brothers; two sisters; and a host of cousins and friends.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Westview Boys Home.
