Esther LaSondra McIntosh, 76, of Wellington,Texas, passed from her earthly life unto her eternal life in Heaven on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Victory Temple Full Gospel Church, with Pastor Joe Thomas, of the Tabernacle of Praise in Ardmore, Okla., and Jimmye Bookman, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.

She was born on Nov. 30, 1948, in Little Rock, Ark., to Earnest and Ida Bee Willingham Byrd. On Nov. 27,1967, she was united in marriage to Charles E. McIntosh Sr. He preceded her in death in 2023.

Esther was a homemaker and mother and cooked at the Cherokee Inn Restaurant for several years. She served as a faithful member of the former Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wellington.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Donald Lynn McIntosh; a daughter, La-Sondra McIntosh; three brothers, Roy, Roszelle and Eddie Outley Jr.; and two sisters, Ernestine M. Johnson and Jecell M. Byrd.

Those left to mourn her passing include her children, Charles E. McIntosh Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Memphis, Texas, Victor L. Byrd, of San Antonio, Texas, LaSoyna McIntosh, James Harvey McIntosh and his wife, Melisa, and Charolette Maddox and her husband, Stephen, all of Memphis, and Corean McIntosh, of Victorville, Calif.; her siblings, Marilyn Valley and husband Michael, Lisa Rusk, James Willingham and wife Ann and Pernell Outley, all of California, Bell Pennon and husband Cleo, Ann Outley, Jean Outley and Henry Outley, all of Wellington, and Greg Outley and Mary Ann Weatherton and husband Glenn, both of Clarendon, Texas.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Collingsworth County Home Delivered Meals, P.O. Box 228, Wellington, TX 79095.
