Judy Hall, of Wellington, Texas, left this world Thursday, Oct.3,2024.No memorial service will be held.
Judy was born in Santa Ana, Calif. Dec. 16, 1942, to Clara Frances Dunson Smith and Keith Smith. She moved to Wellington when she was two years old with her mother and sister, as her dad was called to military service. Grandparents living in Wellington were Willie and Hollie Mae Trimble Smith and Riley and Lala Moore Dunson.
Judy received her education in the Wellington schools and was a member of the Class of 1961.
She married Billy Kermit Hall July 16,1960,in Amarillo, Texas. They made their home in Wellington.
Judy spent most of her adult life working with events and activities her two sons were involved in. Over the years, Judy was key to the Wellington Ex-Students Association, serving as secretary from 1986 to 2018. Judy also served with many other organizations over the years, including Little League, Cub Scouts, Collingsworth Chamber of Commerce, Rocket Booster Club, Wellington Sheltered Workshop and PTO just to name a few.
She and her husband, Bill, farmed in the Wellington area. After his death, Feb. 27, 2011, she continued the farming operation and the Tex-Mex Hunting and Fishing lease he started in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her husband,Bill.
The family she leaves behind are her two sons, Kevin Hall and wife Amy, of Woodsboro, Texas, and Darren Hall and wife Jennifer, of Alvord, Texas; grandchildren Gunnar Hall, of Woodsboro,andSkylarHall,of Aransas Pass,Texas,Rylee Hall Elser, of Poolville, Texas, and Braxton Hall, of Alvord; the mother of Gunnar and Skylar, Pam Niemann,of Woodsboro; and two sisters, Sherrie Clements, of Tucson,Ariz.,and Ann Husband,of Childress,Texas.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wellington Opportunity Center, HUGS (Hearts United Give Support) or the Wellington Rescue Shelter.
Cremation arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
