Lilieesa Lyn Inman,age 73, passed away on Jan. 16, 2025, in Childress,Texas.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at the Childress First Baptist Church, officiated by Stran Smith.Burial took place immediately afterward at the Tell Baptist Cemetery in Tell, Texas, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Family visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Childress.
Lileesa was born on August 14, 1951, to Charles “Edwin” Wyatt and Ruby “Fae” (Mc-Lean) Wyatt, and she was raised in Tell. After graduating from Childress High School, she attended Texas Tech University alongside her high school sweetheart and loving husband, Dale Inman. They later moved to College Station, Texas, where Dale attended and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
In August of 1975, Lileesa and Dale moved first to Clarendon, Texas, then Texarkana, Texas,before landing in Borger, Texas, where she raised her family, daughter Lachella and sons Brandon and Luke, for 12 years. Lileesa ran the day-to-day operations at the veterinary clinic where Dale practiced small and large animal medicine.
Lileesa and Dale returned to the Childress area to live and work on the family farm and ranch. While there, Lileesa pursued her career and eventually retired from the TL Roach Unit, where she served as the Maintenance Supervisor for the State of Texas.
Lileesa’s primary goal in life was to spread her faith to everyone she encountered. In her daily walk, she demonstrated an unwavering love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Known affectionately as “Mimi” for over the past two decades, she was a loving grandmother who wholeheartedly supported her family’s sports and school activities. From her brothers, sisters and children to her grandchildren, as well as her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, Mimi was always there as a cheering fan for everyone! She also enthusiastically supported the Texas Rangers and the Texas A&M Aggies.
She cherished spending time with her family and lifelong friends, holding these connections close to her heart. The bond she shares with them remains as strong today as it was when their relationship began.While it would be impossible to name everyone, the love she received from each of you and the love she shared was a constant in her life, which she deeply treasured.
Lileesa possessed a heart filled with generosity and a fervent desire to uplift those around her. Her culinary creations were celebrated far and wide, as she crafted exquisite dishes that delighted the taste buds of her family and friends, but most importantly, Dale.
With a spirit of service, Lileesa dedicated her time to her community, actively volunteering with Meals on Wheels, ensuring that those in need received nourishing meals and companionship. She also lent her compassionate spirit as a Hospice volunteer, providing comfort to individuals and families during difficult times.
Beyond her community service, Lileesa found joy in working amidst nature. She poured her love into her vineyard with her family and friends, nurturing the vines and eagerly anticipating the harvest. Her passion extended to her garden, where blossoming flowers decorated her atrium and courtyard, creating a serene and inviting oasis where she shared countless hours.
Throughout her life, she exemplified a profound nurturing spirit, a quality that beautifully illustrated her unwavering strength and remarkable character. Her dedication to caring for her surroundings was evident in the way she tended to her garden, always ensuring each plant flourished. This same compassion extended to the lives of those around her, as she consistently offered support and kindness to friends, family and strangers alike, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Dale; parents Edwin and Fae Wyatt; brother Tim Wyatt; fatherin- law J. Frank Inman; and mother-in-law Eloise “Johnnie” Inman.
Lileesa is survived by daughter Lachella Torp, husband Brad and their children, Sage, Cooper, Layton and Ella Coley and Ava Torp, of New Braunfels, Texas; son Brandon Inman and his children, Abby and Bo Inman, of Monahans, Texas; son Luke Inman, wife Amy and their children, Lawson, Ava Kate and Jack Inman, of Wellington, Texas; her beloved canine companion, Fred; brother Cavin Wyatt and wife Debbie, of Tell; sister Connie Wyatt, of Childress; sister Aimee Bowman and husband Greg, of Childress; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ranaé Wyatt, John and Gina Inman and Bruce and Connie Inman, of Childress; and numerous nephews and nieces.
